OKLAHOMA

THE FUTURE OF ENERGY IS HERE IN OKLAHOMA.

Oklahoma stands at the heart of America’s clean energy transformation. With world-class wind resources, abundant sunshine, a skilled energy workforce, and a rich legacy of energy leadership, the Sooner State is already one of the top producers of renewable energy in the nation—and the potential for continued growth is enormous.

Oklahoma ranks among the top states in the country for installed wind capacity, supplying more than 40% of the state’s electricity from wind power alone. Solar energy and battery storage are growing rapidly, providing flexibility and new economic opportunities for communities across the state. With these diverse and abundant resources, Oklahoma is positioned to lead the region—and the nation—in delivering energy that is reliable, affordable, and made right here at home.

Through our advocacy programs, the Oklahoma Power Alliance works to expand transmission capacity, support pro-growth tax and siting policies, and ensure fair treatment for all forms of clean energy—including wind, solar, storage, and next-generation technologies. We are defending the rights of landowners, rural counties, school districts, and energy innovators who are helping power Oklahoma’s future.

Our region is rich in both legacy fuels and modern renewables. For generations, Oklahoma has helped fuel the nation, and that tradition continues with a new mix of advanced energy sources. By embracing an “all of the above” strategy, Oklahoma can continue to deliver dependable energy while reducing emissions, controlling costs, and attracting high-quality jobs and investment.

With a growing energy economy and a proud tradition of powering America, Oklahoma is proving that clean energy is not just possible—it’s profitable. Wind, solar, natural gas, and energy storage are working together to deliver power that is Cleaner, Cheaper, and Made in Oklahoma.

The future of energy isn’t just coming to Oklahoma—it’s already here.
