APA President Calls for Greater Collaboration Between Energy Industries

In a hearing in the Louisiana House of Representatives hosted jointly by the Committee on Agriculture and the Committee on Natural Resources, Advanced Power Alliance President and CEO Jeffrey Clark called for an end to hostility between energy industries and greater collaboration to meet the rising threat from other economies and other energy producers.

APA promotes a “More of Everything” approach to energy development, believing that it will allow the United States to leverage the best attributes of our complementary energy resources to deliver the cleaner, cheaper, reliable energy that the world needs.

Speaking to the committee after nearly eight hours of testimony marked by an abundance of misinformation and baseless attacks on renewables, Clark shared the information on the value of clean energy to the Louisiana economy and to the state’s consumers, including industry.

He also called for collaboration among all energy producers:

Clark’s comments were well-received by the committees, both of which are inundated with constituent contacts expressing anxiety about the growth of clean energy. In many cases, the concerns discussed were prompted by anti-renewables disinformation campaigns currently flooding Louisiana communities.
