JUST THE FACTS

PROVIDING FACTS TO INFORM THE ENERGY CONVERSATION

Dear Friends of Energy and Facts,

The Advanced Power Alliance welcomes constructive and serious conversations about energy, and ways to build the American energy economy by supporting and leveraging the best attributes of every energy resource. We believe that America wins when we use More of Everything in a thoughtful Energy Expanion.  We can address environmental issues, affordability, reliability, economic growth, and national security, but not by pitting energy resources against one another.

Unfortunately, the public is flooded with propaganda about renewable energy, energy storage, carbon capture, nuclear, advanced natural gas, and other energy resources.  Often, it is misinformation, or worse, deliberate disinformation pumped out by anonymously-funded front groups who are paid to spread confusion in an effort to scandalize and unfairly discredit energy technologies that compete with their funders.

Rather than lend them unearned credibility by engaging them directly, we’re collecting their accusations and the questions we hear most often, providing accurate responses with the data needed to form sound opinions and make responsible decisions. We have faith in the ability of Americans to analyze these issues and form their own opinions. Our goal is to provide a resource to those who want to know the truth.

This project is a labor of love for those of us who face these false claims every day as we work to expand the American Energy Economy.  Do you have questions we need to address or data you’d like us to highlight? Have ideas on how we can improve this resource to make it more valuable? Email us your thoughts at Alerts@PowerAlliance.org. We’d love to hear from you.

The Clean Economy Tracker (CET) tracks private-led investments and jobs in clean energy and technology manufacturing as well as non-manufacturing, commercial scale deployment projects in the United States. Clean energy and technology manufacturing covers production facilities for batteries, critical mineral production and processing, electric vehicles, heat pumps, hydrogen electrolyzers, transmission and grid materials, and zero-emissions electricity generation.

The Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) funds projects at national laboratories, state and local governments, universities, nonprofit organizations, and private companies to improve the affordability, reliability, and domestic benefits of solar technologies on the grid.
