THE FUTURE OF ENERGY IS RISING IN GEORGIA.
Georgia is becoming a powerhouse for clean energy in the Southeast, driven by rapid growth in solar development, a strong transmission network, and a commitment to economic and energy resilience. With its smart investments and expanding infrastructure, the state is proving that renewable energy can be a cornerstone of affordable, reliable, and forward-looking power.
In the past few years, Georgia has emerged as a national leader in utility-scale solar energy. As of 2024, the state ranks among the top ten in total installed solar capacity—delivering clean, low-cost electricity to a growing population and a thriving manufacturing and logistics economy. Battery storage is now beginning to take hold as well, helping balance supply and demand and strengthen grid reliability during peak usage or weather disruptions.
Through our advocacy programs, the Advanced Power Alliance is working to expand Georgia’s transmission capacity, defend fair tax and siting policies, and accelerate the deployment of clean energy resources across the state. We’re standing up for rural communities, landowners, and energy consumers who benefit from clean energy jobs, local investment, and low-cost power.
Georgia’s energy success story is rooted in diversification. The state has long relied on a combination of nuclear, natural gas, and hydro, and is now embracing solar and storage as key pillars of a balanced, resilient grid. With a skilled energy workforce, pro-business environment, and vast solar resources, Georgia is well-positioned to lead the region into a cleaner, more competitive energy future.
As part of an “all of the above” strategy, Georgia’s renewables are securing energy independence, insulating families and businesses from rising fuel prices, and supporting long-term economic growth. Clean energy is no longer a vision—it’s a reality being built across the Peach State.
Cleaner. Smarter. Made in Georgia. The future of energy is here—and it’s just getting started.
