Clean energy developers and producers pay over $237 million annually in state and local taxes, providing a new stream of revenue for local communities to use on emergency services, roads, and education. Over $7.4 billion has been invested into the state due to solar power development alone.


Over $70 million in land lease payments is given to Texas landowners every year for hosting clean energy projects on their land. Rural areas, where around 90% of renewable energy projects are developed, benefit from a brand new stream of steady income.
